Dr Gomez joined our practice in August 2018 having completed her fellowship in Houston
Dr Gomez has a wide range of interests across all aspects of vitreoretinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment repair and macular surgery
Dr Gomez has published articles in peer reviewed journals, co-authored an article on macular hole surgery with pioneers in the field, and co-authored a chapter in an ophthalmology book. She has also been involved in clinical research studies
Dr Gomez is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, as well as the Women in Ophthalmology and Women in Retina organizations
Dr Gomez has held many leadership positions and has performed a number of volunteer activities over the past decade
Dr Gomez is on staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital, Sharp Memorial Hospital and Tri-City Hospitals
